What we collect

• Account information: email address, display name, and education level (high school or university) when you create an account.
• Learning data: your tutor chat messages, quiz questions and answers, mastery scores per topic, and study progress.
• Payment information: if you subscribe to Premium or Student plans, payments are processed by Stripe or PayPal. We do not store your card details — Stripe and PayPal handle that directly.
• Student verification: if you use the Student plan, we collect the school or university email address you verify with.
• Business/organization data: if you create or join an organization (Team, Class), we store the organization name, member email addresses, invited roles, and training content your organization creates or is assigned.
• Communications: messages you send us via the contact form or support chat, and your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter.
• Usage analytics: we use Google Analytics and a TikTok advertising pixel to understand how visitors use the site. These may set cookies in your browser.

How we use it

To provide the tutoring service (generate lessons, track your mastery, schedule spaced repetition), process payments, verify student status, send transactional emails (verification codes, weekly progress summaries, organization invites) and, if you opt in, newsletter emails, respond to support requests, and improve the product.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers who help us run NoetaMind: Supabase (database and authentication hosting), Stripe and PayPal (payment processing), Resend (transactional email delivery), Google Analytics and TikTok (analytics/advertising, if you have not opted out via your browser or a consent tool). Each processes data under their own privacy terms.

If you join an organization, the organization's admins can see your name, email, assigned training, and completion status within that organization — this is inherent to how team/class training works.

Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have rights under GDPR to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us (see below) to exercise these rights. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

You can delete your account and associated data at any time from your account settings, or by contacting support.

Children and students

NoetaMind is intended for high school and university students. If you are under the age of digital consent in your country (13 in the US, or as set by your country's implementation of GDPR, commonly 13-16 in the EU), please use NoetaMind only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below these thresholds without appropriate consent.

Data retention and security

We retain your data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service. We use industry-standard security practices, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access-controlled databases with row-level security. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies

We use cookies for authentication (keeping you signed in), analytics (Google Analytics, TikTok pixel), and to remember your preferences (such as dismissing a promotional banner). You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
